Koru Baby Massage offers parents the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to massage their babies in a warm, supportive, comforting environment. The massage strokes are taught over 5 weeks with a strong focus on parent-infant relationships, infant communication, bonding and healthy touch. The massage course that Koru offers is based on the world renowned IAIM (International Association of Infant Massage) philosophy and Australia’s ‘Baby in Mind’ First Touch Program.
The benefits of baby massage are extensive for both the baby and the care giver and includes improved settling, increased bonding, reduced crying, establishment of more regular sleep patterns, improved feeding and weight gain, improved immune function and reduced colic and tummy upsets.
